BlueberriesWe grow two varieties - Earliblue and Bluecrop. Both produce large firm berries with a great balance of sweet and tart.
How it worksCome through our farm market to the stand out back to get a bucket for picking and directions to the appropriate fields. During the weekends, we'll have a staff member to assist you with directions. During all other times, one of our store staff can help you with everything you need.
Unfortunately, our fields are not wheelchair accessible. What to wearThe fields can get hot so please wear appropriate clothing — bring hats and sunscreen. Long pants and sleeves are a wiser option than shorts and tank-tops. Sensible shoes are a must!

Co-op Members and CSA Subscribers receive a 5% discount Kids welcomeWe adore kids and would love to have berry picking at Our Table be a part of their food and farm experience! Many of us have read the popular children's book Blueberries for Sal for our kids dozens of times and we encourage your children to eat more berries than they pick. In fact, if a child under 3 feet in height picks more than they eat, there's something wrong!
However, please pay close attention to your children as there are many dangers on a working farm. It has been our experience that little kids don't tend to enjoy berry picking as much as most of us parents think they do (or should). Storage tipsBerries are best eaten as soon as possible after picking. Do not wash the fruit before you are ready to eat it - washing removes natural "blooms" which protect the berries from spoilage.
If you're going to freeze them, sort through to remove any stems, leaves, etc. and then place in shallow containers in your freezer. If you wash the fruit before freezing, make sure that it is completely dry before putting it in the freezer to prevent clumping. |
