Who's behind these foods? Flying Cow Dairy produces high-quality dairy products on their family farm in Oregon City. As fifth generation farmers, the Taylor family raises a herd of Normande, Montbileire, Jersey, Sweetish Red, Milking Shorthorn, and Friesian cows that graze on 118 acres of grass-rich pastures. All of the dairy's cows are fed a diet of GMO-free grass, alfalfa, and fodder, yielding a milk which is low-temp vat pasteurized, non-homoginized, and delivered in glass bottles.
The laying hens at Our Table Cooperative call a large chicken yard home on the farm. Nestled between our blueberry bushes and pond, the birds have plenty of space to forage in between laying their eggs and dining on their Washington-sourced Certified Organic and GMO-free feed. Their happy existence on the farm makes for eggs with darker yolks and a higher amount of nutrients.
