Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM (PST) Gather with other local flower farmers for a fun day of networking, resource/skill sharing and learning about marketing and distribution opportunities for flower farmers in the Portland Metro region and beyond!
The meeting will be held at the Our Table Cooperative Farm in Sherwood, Oregon, about 15 miles southwest of Portland City Center. This is a great opportunity to learn about a unique cooperative farming/grocery venture designed with permaculture principles and community involvement in mind. The OTC resident flower farmer, Karen Flowers, will be there to help host our gathering.
Debra Prinzing, author of The 50-Mile Bouquet and founder of SlowFlowers.com will also be there to tell us more about developments in the local flower movement and opportunities for small farms.
This meeting is open to farms of any size and any level of experience. However, participation is limited to 40 people based on the size of the venue, so please register early. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments are provided. Please bring a sack lunch. Snacks and drinks are also available for purchase on site through the Our Table Grocery.
Any questions about the meeting can be sent to Elizabeth Bryant of Rose Hill Flower Farm: firstname.lastname@example.org
