Sign-up and account management is much simpler than in the past:
1. On our sign up page, choose your share size (large or small) and your payment plan (up-front or monthly). 2. Run through the payment process. You should receive an email to confirm a successful purchase. 3. We’ll contact you before the start of the season to remind you when it’s starting.
Remember to put CSA pick ups in your calendar for each week of the season!
When does the season start and how long is it?
The first delivery of the 2021 season will be on Wednesday, June 2. The season is 24 weeks in length, ending November 10th. If you sign up part way through the season, your start date will be in the email sent to you.
Where and when do I pick up my share?
Pick up will be ONLY from the Our Table farm in Sherwood at 13390 SW Morgan Rd.
Shares will be available on Wednesdays from 2-6 pm. If you are running late, call us (503-217-4304) and we can put a share aside for you for pickup on Thursday.
What is the cost of the share?
$38/week for the large share and $19/week for the small share. You can pay upfront or in 6 installments. If you pay upfront, you get one week free!
If you choose to pay in 6 monthly installments, your first installment will be charged on the day you sign up. The subsequent 5 installments will be charged to your credit card each month after that.
What can I expect in my share each week?
We’ve created a seasonal harvest calendar so you can expect what the harvest will be each week of the year! The CSA is "market-style", meaning you can choose the veggies and fruits you want, tailoring your share to your family’s needs. We suggest the amounts that make up a share, and some products (especially fruits) will be limited. No time to pick and choose? We will always have a couple pre-packed shares waiting for you if you’re in a hurry.
All produce in the CSA is grown on the farm and Certified Organic. Sometimes we will partner with other area farms to offer a specialty item that we do not grow but this is rare and generally limited to fruit. We will always tell you if an item in the CSA is not from our farm.
What's the difference between a small and large share?
We harvest small shares to be about right for 1-2 adults each week. Large shares are better for big veggie eaters or families with more than 2 people.
If you are concerned about wasted produce: Remember that this you control over what you take. We will offer you suggested amounts of produce based on your share, but what you take is up to you!
Do you have anything other than fruits and veggies in the shares?
Since all pick ups will be at our store location, we will always have the highest quality meats, dairy, grains, eggs and more available to you for purchase.
CAN I CHANGE THE FREQUENCY OF MY SHARES?
No. We only offer weekly shares which is simpler for everyone.
Can I cancel my share part way through the season?
We prefer that you do not but if you're not pleased with you share, please contact us by July 1st and we will give you a pro-rated refund. We cannot accept cancellations after July 1st and all cancellations will incur a $35 administrative fee.
What if I'm running late or can't be there by 6pm on Wednesdays?
No problem. Just give us a call (503-217-4034) and we can have your bag packed and put safely away in our coolers for pick up on between 11am and 6pm on Thursday. If you do not call or email ahead, we cannot have your share packed for you and will donate the produce to our local food bank whenever possible.
What if I am going out of town and would like to skip a week?
If you expect to be out of town, try to have a friend/neighbor pick up your share. It's a great way to share the harvest!
Do I get a credit if I miss a week?
No. If you're going out of town for a week or two, gift your share to a neighbor! However, if you miss more than 4 shares in the season due to travel, we'll give you store credit. This will be an honor system so we're relying on you to keep track. You will only receive store credit for missed weeks in excess of 4 shares - i.e. if you miss 6 weeks, you will receive store credit for 2 weeks. If you miss 4 weeks or less, we cannot issue a credit.
What is the difference between a CSA subscription and being an Owner of Our Table Cooperative?
Anyone can purchase a CSA subscription without joining as a Community Owner of Our Table Cooperative. Your CSA subscription is a one-season investment in Our Table, and sharing in the harvest every week.
Becoming an owner is a deeper relationship with Our Table. For a one-time $150 fee, you officially join the Our Table community. Owners get a say in how Our Table fulfills its mission to provide local, sustainable, ethical food. Plus there are perks!
Owners are eligible for dividends from Our Table (based upon how much they shop here).
Every second Saturday of the month is Owner Day. Owners receive 10% off their entire purchase at the on-farm grocery.
Additionally, throughout the year, owners can also enjoy special discounts, tailored events, and more!
Yes, we are now accepting SNAP food benefits for our CSA! If you'd like to pay with SNAP, please contact us so we can process your payment. Note that if you only receive cash benefits (allowing you to buy non-food items), then we cannot process your payment.
Hoping to bring back free choice in 2021! We're hopeful that we can go back to our pre-Covid CSA pickup in 2021. This means that instead of a pre-packed share, you pack your own share from bins of freshly picked produce. Start with a farmer-recommended list highlighting the best our fields have to offer. If you don't like something, don't take it or, perhaps, take a small amount to try. If you want more of something, go ahead - take what you need! Depending on the harvest we'll sometimes place quantity limits on certain items but the goal is to give you the flexibility to choose.
Our ability to bring back free choice will depend on the public health situation in 2021 so watch your email for additional details. Same variety, same recipe database, and same friendly farmers! Unlike many farms, we don't rely on seasonal farm crews. Over 90% of our farmers work at Our Table full-time and year-round. We love to build long-term relationships with you as we help feed your family.
We have renewed our partnership with local superstar and CSA-loving chef Katherine Deumling of Cook With What You Have to give you full access to her online treasure-trove of seasonal recipes searchable by ingredient.
Slightly shorter season and slightly higher prices Our prices for 2021 are going up by $1/week for the large share and 50 cents/week for the large share. We are also reducing the length of the season by 2 weeks to a total of 24 weeks from June 2 through November 10.
