How do I join? Sign-up and account management is much simpler than in the past:
1. On our sign up page, choose your share size (large or small) and your payment plan (up-front or monthly). 2. Run through the payment process. You should receive an email to confirm a successful purchase. 3. We’ll contact you before the start of the season to remind you when it’s starting.
Remember to put CSA pick ups in your calendar for each week of the season!
When does the season start and how long is it? The first delivery of the 2018 season will be on Wednesday, June 6. The season is 26 weeks, ending November 21st. Where and when do I pick up my share? Pick up will be ONLY from the Our Table farm in Sherwood at 13390 SW Morgan Rd.
Shares will be available on Wednesdays from 3-7 pm. If you are running late, call us (503-217-4304) and we can arrange to have a packed bag waiting for you outside our gate. What is the cost of the share? Small shares are $15/week. Large shares are $30/week.
You can pay upfront or monthly. If you pay upfront, you get one week free!
What can I expect in my share each week? We’ve created a seasonal harvest calendar so you can expect what the harvest will be each week of the year! New this year! The CSA will be “market-style,” meaning you can choose what veggies and fruits you want to have in your share, tailoring your share to your family’s needs. We will suggest the amounts that make up a share, and some products (especially fruits) will be limited.
No time to pick and choose? We will always have a couple pre-packed shares waiting for you if you’re in a hurry. All produce in the CSA is grown on the farm and Certified Organic
What's the difference between a small and large share? We harvest small shares to be about right for 1-2 adults each week. Large shares are better for big veggie eaters or families with more than 2 people.
If you are concerned about wasted produce: Remember that this year you will have control over what you take. We will offer you suggested amounts of produce based on your share, but what you take is up to you!
Do you have anything other than fruits and veggies in the shares? New this year! We are offering original meal kits as part of our CSA, featuring Our Table original recipes and all the local ingredients you will need for that meal. Grab a complete meal kit or choose individual items as you need. 5% off all meal kit ingredients on CSA pick up nights!
New this year! We have expanded our popular prepared foods section to offer wood-fired take-and-bake pizzas every Wednesday. Grab one at pick up and take it home to make an easy Wednesday meal.
Since all pick ups will be at our store location, we will always have the highest quality meats, dairy, grains, eggs, oils and more available to you for purchase.
What are these meal kits you are talking about? We're working hard to make it easy for you to get a local, wholesome meal on your table, and one way is creating pre-packaged "meal kits." Our meal kits include recipes created by our kitchen staff based upon the seasonal produce available that week, and feature our other local products (meats, grains, beans, etc.).
Each week we'll provide you with 1-3 free recipes, and you will have the option to purchase the associated meal kit. You have the option to buy the entire meal kit or just a portion of it, and everything in the meal kit is 5% off for CSA subscribers!
Can I change the frequency of my shares? Unlike past years, all shares are offered weekly. We found that too many people forgot which week was their week, and keeping everything weekly is just simpler for everyone.
Can I cancel my share part way through the season? We prefer that you do not but we understand that life happens so please contact us if you do wish to cancel and we will give you a pro-rated refund. We cannot accept cancellations after August 1st and all cancellations will incur a $30 administrative fee.
What if I'm running late or can't be there by 7pm on Wednesdays? No problem. Just give us a call (503-217-4034) and we can have your bag packed and put safely away in our coolers for pick up on between 10am and 8pm on Thursday. If you do not call or email ahead, we cannot have your share packed for you and will donate the produce to our local food bank whenever possible.
What if I am going out of town and would like to skip a week? If you expect to be out of town, try to have a friend/neighbor pick up your share. It's a great way to share the harvest!
If you aren’t able to find a friend to pick up your share and need to skip that week, just call us (503-217-4304) or email us a few days before pick up time and let us know when you’ll be gone. It’s that simple!
Do I get a credit if I miss a week? If you miss five weeks or more: we’ll provide you with a gift certificate to our store at the end of the season (based upon the number of weeks missed).
Miss less than 5 weeks? Then just take a few extra veggies each week to make up the difference! What is the difference between a CSA subscription and being an Owner of Our Table Cooperative? Anyone can purchase a CSA subscription without joining as a Community Owner of Our Table Cooperative. Your CSA subscription is a one-season investment in Our Table, and sharing in the harvest every week.
Becoming an owner is a deeper relationship with Our Table. For a one-time $150 fee, you officially join the Our Table community. Owners get a say in how Our Table fulfills its mission to provide local, sustainable, ethical food. Plus there are perks!
Owners are eligible for dividends from Our Table (based upon how much they shop here).
Every second Saturday of the month is Owner Day. Owners receive 10% off their entire purchase at the on-farm grocery.
Additionally, throughout the year, owners can also enjoy special discounts, tailored events, and more!
We’ve made a lot of changes to our CSA for 2018, many of which make the CSA simpler and more flexible for you: Season: Our CSA Season is 26 weeks from June-November. We will not have a winter CSA.
Frequency: We are selling only weekly small and large shares; no bi-weekly shares this year.
Pickup Locations: Pick ups are now only at our farm in Sherwood on Wednesdays from 4 - 8pm. This means that we can serve only subscribers that are able to come to the farm.
More Choice: You can choose what veggies you want from bulk bins and tailor your share to your family’s tastes. Pre-packed bags will still be available for grab-and-go convenience.
Meal Kits: Instead of add-on subscriptions, we will offer "meal kits" for a discount. This will include an original recipe and all the ingredients you will need to cook the meal from our store. Grab and go!
Pizzas: On Wednesday nights, we will have take-and-bake pizzas available for purchase!
Vacations: We will do credits on an as-need basis for subscribers that miss more than 4 weeks of the season. Just contact us ahead of time! No log-in needed, just call or email us if you need anything!
Discounts: We will offer 5% discounts on meal kits items only.
