LET'S GIVE OUR BABIES A "HEALTH" START IN LIFE

Recent studies suggest that there is a HUGE benefit to eating organic (pesticide free) fruits and vegetables while you're pregnant. We want to give the next generation of our community a healthy start by offering a free or reduced price CSA share of organic fruit and veggies from our farm to all pregnant women in our community. In order to make this happen,we need your help to fund this program and sign up pregnant moms who can benefit!

Our CSA program runs for 24 weeks from the last week of May through early November. Learn more here.

• All pregnant women residing in the 97140, 97070, and 97062 zip codes are eligible.

• Applications for free or reduced price shares will be processed on first-come first-served basis subject to availability of funds and capacity for our farm to provide the produce.

• Your donation will allow us to provide a free or subsidized organic CSA share to pregnant women in our community.

• A donation of $603.75 buys a full share. Please help with however much you can since we will be pooling all donations to help as many families as we can!

Donations are made to Our Table's sister non-profit, The Manav Foundation which is a registered 501(C)(3) private operating foundation, and are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?

Pesticides on fruits and vegetables consumed by pregnant mothers can cause high levels of chemical exposure to their unborn children! Simply avoiding this exposure to the extent possible gives the next generation a "health" start in life. We want to support the next generation of our community in the best way we can.

WHAT IS A CSA?

It's people like you, investing in local farms like us. At the start of the year, you subscribe for a weekly share of the abundant harvest: veggies and fruits straight from our farm and pay up front. During the 24-week season, you come to the farm market each week and choose what produce your family needs, meet farmers and neighbors, and support your local community. Learn more here.

DO I HAVE TO PROVE I'm PREGNANT?

Nope, we trust you!

IS THERE ANY INCOME OR MEANS TESTING?

Nope, we figure everyone in the community should benefit equally and that all kids, regardless of background, should get an equal start in life.

Having said that, and since this program is entirely funded by community donations, we ask that if you can afford to pay the full (or partial) price of a CSA share, that you please let us know. Alternatively, pay it forward by making a tax-deductible donation to support those less fortunate than you...

HOW MANY FAMILIES WILL YOU BE ABLE TO SUPPORT?

That depends entirely on how much money we can raise from community donations and how much capacity we have on the farm to produce CSA shares! The program is first-come-first served so early birds get the worm and all that (i.e. early sign ups get the veggies).
