Happy new year everyone! The crew is back! After holiday trips to everywhere from balmy Cambodia, to the cold vortex in the Midwest, to a dry California desert, (only to name a few) the full Our Table family was able to get back together today and get started on some ground breaking stuff...literally. Not only did we have the first full-farm crew meeting of 2014, but we broke ground on the Our Table farm stand and commercial kitchen! Once the building is finished it will proudly serve as the heart of the Our Table Cooperative and begin to pump goodness throughout the Sherwood and Portland areas. This is where we will have direct contact with customers like you, and where they will take the plethora of delicious things we'll be producing on the farm, combine them, and turn them into something so much more than a sum of their parts. Yes, like magic. So, needless to say, it was a big day for us! It's always good to be able to start off the new year with an exciting new project, and I don't think this one will disappoint. Anyways, with that good news I think I'll leave this post short and sweet, I'm still reeling a bit from our almost 5,000 mile round trip to Wisconsin and back. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and has plenty to look forward to in 2014!
