Louis
Hello CSAers!! It's a bit of a disappointing Monday out here at the ol' OT, but nothing we hadn't already emotionally prepared ourselves for. Not only are the fields frozen, but our irrigation pond has become something of a freestyle ice rink that Forrest immediately took advantage of (if only Josh could see us now). We did take a quick walk-through of the fields to asses the damage though, and things seem to look...ok. We can't really know until things thaw out a bit to really see how everything was affected, but for the most part it seems that the stuff we are counting on will pull through and we'll be able to keep harvesting through the winter. As for the immediate future, Monday CSAers will get a double share next week, and based on the weather forecast for Thursday (40ish and raining), we should be able to get in there and get the shares out as normal barring any unforeseen frosty conditions. It's an unfortunate turn of events, especially since it's you who will end up bearing the brunt of it by missing the weekly goodness, but we thank you that much more for stickin' in there with us. I'll be back here on Thursday to give you more updates and show you what's actually going to be in the share this week. Hope you stay warm!!

You all are one tough bunch for being out there in this cold! Don't worry too much about the missed share :-) Comments are closed.
