We introduce another new chicory this week...Bellesque frisée. The name frisée comes from the French word for endive. The delicate, extra frilly leaves are smooth and finely ribbed. The mild flavor is perfectly balanced by a hint of tartness. Like the other chicories frisée can be eaten raw in a salad or sautéed.
