I would say I can't believe it is already the end of Summer CSA but with all this cold and blustery weather, I am feeling the change in season! It has been dry for so long that we are really enjoying the precipitation, even if it does make certain end of summer tasks a bit more difficult. Nothing crazy new in today's share. A few weeks back Monday received collard greens and Thursday had kale, and this week it is going to be reversed. We also have the delightful red roasting peppers, delicious Detroit beet thinnings, and Amarosa fingerling potatoes. These Amarosas are my favorite, not only for the color but the flavor. Oh my gosh! I like this share because you can really just throw everything into a pan with some garlic, onions, oil and voila! Hope to see you for our upcoming fall and winter seasons. We appreciate all your support. Jen |
