Jens said, “I believe in what Narendra and his great team want to achieve; we want Our Table Farm to succeed. The standard that Our Table is working towards — bio-dynamic certification of the farm — is found in German health food stores.”
He has an idea to promote Our Table, by making it a destination. For example, his group participates in Cycle Oregon, which raises money to benefit kids with cancer. The cyclists do many training runs to get ready for the event. He suggests that they could park their cars at Our Table, enjoy a bike ride on country roads, and end their training ride at the farm. They could go to the grocery for snacks and drinks. This would not only make their training ride more enjoyable, but introduce new people to the farm. This idea could work great with other groups, and farm tours for example.
Jens said, “Our Table is where we get great food, which is so important for health. It is part of the balanced life we strive for — along with love, fulfilling work, and my interest in natural building. It is important to me that family comes together for meals. Similarly, I really enjoy the farm dinners and the shared meal at the Board meetings. I love Our Table farm; it feels familiar, like home.”
