Yep, as much as I dislike the way it looks and feels, we use a lot of floating row cover this time of year and it does an amazing job of protecting germinating seedlings and young transplants.
Today was a very successful planting day. The crew transplanted lettuce and spinach while I seeded arugula, salad turnips, and spring raab. Celery, celeriac, lettuce and more leeks were seeded in the greenhouse as well.
It was super fun to have Forrest bring his "little" brother Ray out to see the farm and help out a little. I apprenticed with Forrest and Ray's father when those two were quite a bit shorter than they are now. They've both passed me in the height cat
