Hey Hey all! And a happy early Independence day to everyone! Did you all make it through the scorcher of a week we just had? July is definitely not joking around this year. And how ironic is it that the day we had to start putting the metal sheets onto the roof it was literally 100 degrees outside. I should've taken a picture of it but we actually set up an awning over us when we were working up there just so our brains wouldn't turn to soup in our skulls and get packaged and sold as a new organic Our Table product, and thankfully it worked. But, with or without the heat it was/is a big week for us at the farm. About 90% of the metal is up on the roofs along with both skylights over the retail section of the building. And, the excavators have been working tirelessly to level and grade the grounds around the building. Soon we can begin crafting the walkways and the landscaping that will eventually wrap around the building and draw you out into beautiful outdoor spaces. Now that the building isn't surrounded by a giant berm of dirt it really feels like it is connected to the rest of the farm making the reality of the project feel that much more...well, real. The other big deal is the GRAND OPENING of BLUEBERRY U-PICK 2014 at OUR TABLE! It'll be open 8am - 1pm on Friday the 4th and then Saturday and Sunday also 8am - 1pm. So, come pick some amazingly huge and delicious organic blueberries while you scope out all the progress that's been made to the farm stand as well as the rest of the farm. We hope to see you out there!!!!
