Such a bountiful week
New this week to the roster are Jimmy Nardello sweet Italian peppers, collard greens and a Calibra yellow onion. Jimmy Nardellos are my favorite sweet pepper, they have excellent flavor and fry up really well! I love throwing them in any stir fry or on top of a pizza or just eating them raw. The Calibra onion is a sweet and mild onion that is very versatile. Collard greens...these hearty greens are extremely healthy for you and are delicious. I like to sauté them with garlic, onion and maybe some chili oil and add them to a meal. A lot of people like to steam them also. Since it is so hot out there, if you find your cilantro is a bit wilty just put it in some water like you would flowers and it should perk back up.
